Hm, I always thought d-i adds the user that is created during installation to all those groups. Is that really a (hard-coded) list in adduser instead? As for your question: Nowadays with uaccess (dynamic device ACLs) and udisks, none of those groups should be needed anymore, at least not on a default (desktop) installation using logind. -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
