Is this still reproducible with a recent version of systemd? Is this with persistent journal enabled? If so, - how big is /var/log/journal? - does journalctl --verify report any errors? - is the problem reproducible after removing existing journal files? Fwiw, if you are interested in the newest journal entries, journalctl now provides a -r switch, ie. it shows the newest entries first. -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
