OK. I'll see if I find the branch unless you beat me to it. Unless someone plan to release a new upstream version, I guess we need to keep it as a patch in debian/patches/. As for the progress bar API, I have collected what I believe to be the latest draft version and made a diff relative to the current svn with the pieces I believe is required. Completely untested. Please have a look at <URL:http://developer.skolelinux.no/~pere/debian/splash-api.diff>. I have a few design issues. Should I place the API files in the sysv-rc, the initscripts or the sysvinit-utils package? The users are sysv-rc and initscripts, and I am not sure we want initscripts to depend on sysv-rc. On the other hand, do we want sysv-rc to depend on initscripts? The patch places the files in sysv-rc, but I am not sure it is the right choice. Also, the new hooks to use before and after fsck is not used in this patch. This should probably be done. Also, the input method isn't used either.
