I can make the time to apply patches to the maintainers working tree, Michael Biebl offered to sponsor an upload towards this goal. Tomorrow holds some spare time. The resulting upload would be targetted at experimental. I'm also the most junior member of the maintenance team, with the least influence within Debian. My maintenance scope is mostly limited to update-rc.d, startpar and other dependency based boot problems. Take that into account. > > http://wiki.debian.org/ReleaseGoals/RunDirectory details the plan for > the transition. > > If there isn't anyone with the time to review the patch and do the > upload, would be be OK for me to NMU it? I would not oppose an NMU. Especially not after a long period of inaction by the listed maintainers. > > http://people.debian.org/~rleigh/run/ > contains a proposed package for upload (sysvinit_2.88dsf-13.3). > This has been tested on amd64 and powerpc systems, as well as on > kfreebsd, hurd, and linux vservers and lxc.
