Package: sysvinit-utils Version: 2.88dsf-13.2 Severity: normal Hi, bootlogd fails to start. I investigated with printf-debug, and found that ioctl(0, TIOCGDEV, &kdev) fails and strerror(errno) is: "Invalid argument". Also, when removing the ioctl stuff, consolename is correctly found. Why not continue into the function even if ioctl fails ?
Bootlogd worked fine until 13rd or 14th or 15th of april. And sysvinit-utils was not upgraded at that time. So, the bug may come from another package. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages sysvinit-utils depends on: ii libc6 2.11.2-13 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libselinux1 2.0.98-1 SELinux runtime shared libraries sysvinit-utils recommends no packages.
