Package: linux-2.6
Version: 2.6.32-15
Severity: important

After installing the new kernel and accepting the debconf question, I restarted
the computer and the boot process stops when it needs to mount the others
partitions (/home, /var, /tmp, ...).
Restarting with the previous kernel (linux-image-2.6.32-3-486) 'fix'
the problem.
I don't know if the debconf script should have modify my fstab but
it's not the case:
stephane@degtyarov:~ $ cat /etc/fstab
# /etc/fstab: static file system information.
#
# <file system> <mount point> <type> <options> <dump> <pass>
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0

UUID=1E21-1DFD /mnt/etendu/ vfat defaults,codepage=950,gid=100 0 0
/dev/fd0 /media/floppy0 auto rw,user,noauto 0 0
The boot stops with those errors:
udevd-work[322]: kernel-provided name 'dm-1' and NAME=
'mapper/1ATA_____Hitachi_HDT725050VLAT80______________________VF2401R41362NC-part1'

A root shell is then provided to fix the problem.
I don't use LVM.
The error seems to be more or less the same as

However, I just made an update for my testing system, not a version upgrade.

This was unreproducible, needed more information, and was confirmed
to be fixed in later kernels by the submitter. Closing.
