checkroot-bootclean.sh includes this gem:

Should this be made conditional on whether /run is a tmpfs?
Is a /run that is not a tmpfs a supported configuration? When /run is
not a tmpfs, since version 167-2 udev doesn't use it, letting us
narrowly escape trouble in that case.
