Note that only purging of packages will remove their /etc/init.d/ scripts, while conflicts will only remove (and not purge) a package. Thus it do not help to conflict with a package that is no longer included in Debian. It need to be manually purged. But it might help to Breaks on older versions of a package if a new version is available in squeeze, if this make sure the package is updated before sysv-rc. Thus I suspect conflicting is not having any effect, but the breaks might work. -- Happy hacking Petter Reinholdtsne _______________________________________________ Pkg-sysvinit-devel mailing list [email protected] http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pkg-sysvinit-devel
