Hi. We have talked about splitting startpar out of the sysvinit-utils package to make it easier to maintain. I finally decided to work a bit on this. I've drafted a startpar package in <URL: http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=collab-maint/startpar > which I believe is ready to go into experimental. Please check it out and see if you find any problems. The exact version when sysvinit-utils is without startpar is yet to be decided, and when it is the replaces line in debian/control need to be adjusted.
I've also created a sysvinit branch startpar-split ripping out the startpar parts from sysvinit-utils. I suggest we first upload startpar to experimental together with a test sysvinit package to get it past NEW, and then upload new sysvinit and startpar packages to unstable when NEW processing is done. Can this to-step approach cause some problems? -- Happy hacking Petter Reinholdtsen _______________________________________________ Pkg-sysvinit-devel mailing list [email protected] http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pkg-sysvinit-devel
