Thanks for the update on this. It looks to me like hmh is the original author of the *-rc.d bits atleast so his blessing would be welcome. It's also documented in the tools that each init system should ship their own versions, but it also seems this then pretty much becomes a "copylib" which is generally discuraged in debian so I think that would probably be wise to reconsider. Specially since the sysvinit versions are the ones supporting sysvinit, upstart and systemd. I've prepared initial branches now at: http://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/collab-maint/sysvinit.git/log/?h=wip/init-tools http://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/collab-maint/init-system-helpers.git/log/?h=wip/init-tools My chroot did not explode when upgrading to these versions, but haven't had time to carefully examine things yet. Comments/suggestions welcome! Regards, Andreas Henriksson PS. the wip/ prefix means I intend to rebase as needed. _______________________________________________ Pkg-sysvinit-devel mailing list [email protected] http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pkg-sysvinit-devel
