Greetings, the problem is a typo.
In the pidof (8) manual page, in NOTES, I can read: "Note that that the
executable name of running processes is calculated with readlink(2)". You
should strip the first "that" to fix this little problem.
The operating system is Debian GNU/Linux 8.3 (jessie) on a shell service
(www.xshellz.com).
