Hello everyone. I've noticed that your team is looking for new people.
My bash skills are quite good (at the level of ABS, and living in terminal only for about last 5 years). I use C, Perl, Ocaml and Scheme (Racket) in my work. I'm not a very experienced with maintaining of debian packages, but I have a big experience in centos packaging, and do it every day on my job. Really love sysvinit, and wanna do my best to assist you with decreasing the number of opened bugs: I've already looked through them and think I can fix some of them every weekend. But I need some help. I tought that `apt-get source', dephelper and quilt to make patches would be enough. But now at Alioth I revealed you use an svn repository: svn://scm.alioth.debian.org/svn/pkg-sysvinit/ What would be the right way: send here patches made by quilt and ask you to accept them, or download the svn's trunk and make patches there? And then send them here too? I understand that I'm a newbie here and I won't be able to commit changes directly. Who could be the sponsor for my changes? I'd like to start with #764662 and #435287. They seem to be quite easy to fix, and I hardly have a chance to break something with them. Sincerely yours, Dmitrii Kashin. http://freehck.ru/en/ https://ru.linkedin.com/in/dmitrii-kashin-47105611a
