As far as I can see in the changelog, the calendar module was explicitly excluded from the installable modules list in 2004 because it was not ready yet. There have been no changes in the module since then, so I don't think it makes sense to install it in Debian. Or, can you confirm its usefulness in spite of what the Tcllib developers say?
