Hello, We now have elogind in Debian as an alternative logind implementation.
I would like to see policykit-1 support libelogind and would like your opinion on the best way to achieve this. I have prepared packages based on 0.105-25 for Devuan and I also have a proof of concept tree based on Debian/experimental (0.115). Because libsystemd0 or libelogind0 is linked at compile time, the approach I have adopted is to configure and build the sources twice and then package different flavours of policykit. Obviously, it would be easier if this was a runtime choice, but I have not seen a way of doing that easily. My questions are:- 1) What do you think of this approach? 2) Can you see a way to manage this choice at rumtime? 3) I am happy to prepare patches. Do you want to base them on 0.105 or 0.115? Many thanks.
