I'm experiencing this bug from upstream:

I've upgraded my system and got OpenVPN 2.5.1, which yields the
abovementioned bug when used with network-manager-openvpn < 1.8.14 .
I am using Debian GNU/Linux 11, kernel 5.10.127-1 and libc6 2.31-13.
