Package: libpolkit-backend-1-0
Version: 0.105-6.1
Severity: grave
File: libpolkit-backend
Justification: renders package unusable

Dear Maintainer,
*** Please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

Upgrading the package libpolkit-backend-1-0 to jessie/testing causes
lxpolkit to not function. User actions that require additional privileges
such as gnome shutdown and NetworkManager applet cease to function. Not
authorized error messages are received such as:

** (nm-applet:2501): WARNING **: disconnect_cb: Device disconnect failed:
(32) Not authorized to Disconnect connections

Downgrading the package corrects the problem.

Yeah, this is your problem then. You have a policykit-1 version which
uses ConsoleKit as backend, and your corresponding libraries use logind
as backend. That doesn't work.

While such partial upgrades and mixtures between suites are *not*
supported, we will most likely add explicit breaks to the library
packages, so such a partial upgrade is not possible.

We only support logind as backend since a couple of releases now, which makes this issue moot.

Thus closing the bug report.

Michael
