Hi Martin,

Can you please expand on this a little bit?
you wrote it in the comment: the minified stuff can not be built by
tools already in Debian and needs to download other modules.
Software in main requires this to be possible.
It's the same approach as with the
already existing packages:
https://sources.debian.org/src/cockpit-podman/103-1/debian/copyright/
https://sources.debian.org/src/cockpit-machines/329-1/debian/copyright/
https://sources.debian.org/src/cockpit/336-1/debian/copyright/
Oh, this is sad and looks like an oversight. Please move these packages
to contrib as well.
Indeed I just noticed that d/copyright is missing the Copyright attribution for
the bundled React and PatternFly dependencies (cockpit has them), and I'll fix
that, also in c-{machines,podman}. However, that doesn't seem to be your
primary concern?
No, I just saw your comment and stopped further processing.
The cockpit-files code as well as the bundled React and PatternFly are all free
software,
Thats why they are allowed in contrib and can avoid non-free.
I.e. what can I do to make this palatable for main?
All minified files need to be created from and by stuff in main
Sorry for the bad news,
Thorsten
