That's very strange. Could you please attach the output of the 'lshal'
command in each of the three cases below?
1. Without a disc in your drive
2. With a DVD+R disc in your drive
3. With a Philips DVD-R disc in your drive
Additionally could you please keep the 'lshal --monitor' command running
while you perform the above steps, and attach its output as well?
