Package: hal
Version: 0.5.9.1-4
Severity: normal

When I execute
# cryptsetup luksOpen /dev/sdaX isEncrypted
and enter my password, I get a error message complaining about
permissions. It says:
--
Cannot mount volume
Error org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.PermissionDeniedByPolicy.
 Details
  hal-storage-fixed-mount refused uid 1000
--
I see this error message in gnome as an error window.
dmesg or /var/log/messages does not show any error and i can use
/dev/mapper/isEncrypted as usually. So no further problems.
I guess HAL tries to mount the partition as "rw" for my (only) user,
with the uuid 1000. And something does not work with that...

I am using Debian GNU/Linux SID/unstable.
Kernel 2.6.22-2-k7, libc6 2.6.1-4.

This doesn't sound like a bug to me. Our current policy is that users
who wish to mount filesystems via HAL need to be in the 'plugdev' group.
