Package: hal
Version: 0.5.11~rc2-1
Severity: normal

Pressing the brigness up/down keys on my laptop causes the following
kernel messages to be logged:

atkbd.c: Unknown key pressed (translated set 2, code 0x88 on isa0060/serio0).
atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e008 <keycode>' to make it known.

atkbd.c: Unknown key pressed (translated set 2, code 0x89 on isa0060/serio0).
atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e009 <keycode>' to make it known.

If I run 'setkeycodes e008 225' and 'setkeycodes e009 224' then HAL
appears to pick up the keypresses (as can be seen by running 'lshal -m'.
Although it doesn't actually change the brightness of the screen, I
guess that is a separate problem?

BTW, I kind-of guessed which package I should file the bug against. I
still find the whole hal/acpi-support/laptop-detect situation rather
confusing. :) Please reassign if you know better.
