Package: hal
Version: 0.5.11~rc2-1
Severity: important

A while back, HAL wouldn't work with encrypted filesystems unless
/dev/dm-* existed. Now it seems that it won't work with them unless they
are absent. It really should work both ways.

Indeed, the presence/absense of /dev/dm-* was just a red herring.
Closing.
