That is no advantage. I don't want to have both networks connected
at the same time. If I unplug my wire then I don't care for the small
amount of downtime of connecting to a wireless network. Surely being
connected will cause some kind of battery drain too?

I do want NM to autoconnect to my wireless network, but only when
appropriate. The NM < 0.7 did this fine. Speaking to others proves that
I'm not the only one to think this is poor. As a result, I don't think
this bug is invalid at all and shouldn't be closed.
