Package: avahi-autoipd Version: 0.6.23-3lenny1 Severity: important Hi,
The Debian default setup runs dhclient on an interface, which spawns avahi-autoipd on timeout and keeps running in the background. autoipd creates a network and a default route. On systems with multiple interfaces (such as a laptop with wired and wireless interface), the network routes conflict, and the first interface to time out dhcp configuration gets the default route; when one interface comes up later, dhclient properly configures it, but does not drop the default route. Ideally, avahi-autoipd would not configure interfaces that are down, and also let dhclient retry before configuring a device.
