Package: hal
Version: 0.5.11-1
Severity: normal

When my Dell D420 is running on battery, the LCD is dimmed after a short
period of inactivity, in accordance with my preference in g-p-m
However, when activity occurs (eg mouse movement) the screen brightness
resumes to a certain level, ignoring any changes to brightness I have
made with the brightness control hotkeys. gnome-power-manager does not
allow me to set the brightness chosen when battery mode is activated.

Correct behaviour would be to return brightness to the level it was
before the idle-dimming occurred.
