Package: hal
Version: 0.5.11-8
Severity: important

Hal doesn't recognice pluggable devices which are corectelly found by
udev.

The relevant part in the log says:
   19:50:11.730 [I] blockdev.c:1248: parent_bus is scsi
   19:50:11.730 [W] blockdev.c:1294: scsi.type is unknown
   19:50:11.730 [W] blockdev.c:1473: Not adding device object

The relevant type file content ist "0".

I have searched for the problem on many sources but did not find a
solution however there are some people having the same problem.

I also tried to reproduce the problem on other systems but without
success. The problem only happens on this particular system. All
software was fully purged and reinstalled (udev, *hal*) without success.
