The avahi-autoipd package places a script in /etc/network/if-up.d.
When the avahi-autoipd package is removed, but not purged, this

Yeah, I guess it makes sense to update debian/avahi-autoipd.if-down and
debian/avahi-autoipd.if-up and let it test for the
/usr/sbin/avahi-autoipd binary.
If we do that, we should also update the dhclient enter and exit hooks
accordingly.
