Thanks for your feedback. This is an issue in libblockdev-part2 package which needs that dependency. (Long-term even better would likely be to port away from gdisk usage and spawning cli commands at all.) I'll fix that up, but feel free to file a (severity serious) bug report on libblockdev-part2....
