Hi, I finally have the backports of wine 1.8 ready. I pushed them to the branch "jessie-backports-1.8.x".
They need a backport of unicode (8.0-2 done, 8.0-3 pending) and a drop of both the new -dbgsym and the old -dbg packages. I had a thread about that in debian-backports: https://lists.debian.org/debian-backports/2016/01/msg00050.html So this is the first time that we have a real difference between the jessie-backports and the stretch packages. Lintian now tells us: X: libwine-dev: static-library-has-unneeded-section usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/wine/libadsiid.a(adsiid.o) .comment [... 39 files in libwine-dev affected ...] This happens also in 1.8-1~bpo8+1 (local build in a jessie chroot without any backports-changes). I ignore that. I successfully installed and tested the packages in jessie. Stephen, can you upload them? Please build with "-v1.6.2-20". Thanks a lot!
