Dear gamin maintainer,

I am a pcmanfm maintainer. I wrote this email for request your help to
figure out what is the nature probelm of #410929, and the problem
#403247 which related to thunar maybe the same, so I also cc this
message to thunar maintainers as well.

The two reports on BTS said both 'pcmanfm' and 'thunar' lost automatic
refresh feature after upgraded gamin from 0.1.7-4 to 0.8.1-1.

I found but I don't know why after rebuild pcmanfm against gamin
0.8.1-1, the automatic refresh featrue works again.

I requested binNMU on debian-release list, but release manager cannot
easy do that without first understanding on what changed in gamin that
broken pcmanfm.

So I forwarded the message here, please help us.

Thanks in advance.

-Andrew

I'm not content to do this without understanding what changed in gamin that
broke your package. gamin didn't have a /declared/ ABI change, so if this
is an ABI change in gamin, it's possible that there are other packages
affected and we may need to do a mass-fix. But we can't easily do that
without first understanding the nature of the problem.

Steve Langasek Give me a lever long enough and a Free OS
Debian Developer to set it on, and I can move the world.
