Package: xfce4
Version: 4.4.1
Severity: important

Hi,

I have a very strange problem that occures when using some audioplayers under
xfce4. It sounds quite possible that the problem is caused by a certain
audio-related library that is just used by xfce4, but I was not able to fully
track down the problem. To get some more facts I tried to discuss on
debian-devel how to get more information. Here are the relevant postings:

   http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2007/11/msg00041.html and
   http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2007/11/msg00045.html

I observed this behavour when using audacious and xmms in every occurance
perfectly reproducible. Other application did also caused the problem but
I was unable to reproduce it easily. When I start one of these mentioned
applications the keyboard does not accept any key any more so I'm even unable
to switch to console or something like that. I can move the mouse cursor
but no klick event is regarded. Tis is even reproducible in Xephyr as
I described in the second link.

Please read the information I provided in the above links where I went
into more detail and feel free to ask me for any information I woould
happyly provide to track down this issue.

Kind regards and thanks for maintaining xfce4

          Andreas.

If you have gtk 2.12, you'll need xfwm4 4.4.1-3 at least. (pick the one from
unstable if possible).

Installing the last xfwm4 version in dead solvs the problem so I close
this bug.

Thanks for your helpfull hints
