Someone please bear with me and my lack of knowledge....
I am looking at re-compiling xfdesktop - making some customization to xfdesktop.
In particular, (or for my first experiment...), I would like to remove "Create from Template" from the root menu..... I have found the code in xfdesktop source and commented it out.
So, now I am set to recompile, but last time I tried this I failed (compiling from source) - can someone give me some pointers on what tools and dependencies I need to compile this correctly and get it installed/build a working deb? Currently I am on xubuntu 9.04......
Hope this doesnt sound too stupid, but I am struggling with understanding how to do this....
