Package: xfwm4
Version: 4.4.2-5
Severity: normal

Hello,

I regularly switch between my laptop's internal TFT and an external
monitor using xrandr. With gtk 2.12, xfwm4 recognizes this and adjusts
the size of maximized windows accordingly. After upgrading to 2.14,
behaviour depends on whether the external monitor was plugged in when I
logged in or not:

  * if it was plugged in, I can remove it later and switch to the
internal monitor and it will resize windows as before. Still, some
apps like VirtualBox or VMware misbehave.

  * if I logged in with only the internal TFT active, when I switch to
the external one maximized windows remain 800 pixels high instead of
    1024.

When I kill xfwm4 and restart it, it recognizes the correct resolution
and resizes the windows.

Regards,
Oliver

xfwm is not randr aware, and it works pretty fine nowadays (besides
xfce4-panel needing a restart to show new desktop size in the pager).
Closing then.
