We did announce the NMU: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?msg=7;bug=604681 I saw some people responded to that and fixed their bugs. We even allowed for more time than was originally announced (10 days instead of one week). And anyway it's uploaded to DELAYED/3 for that very possibility that you may want to upload your own version.
