Problem:

(gdb) run /usr/bin/thunar
brings up a dialog that asks me how I want to open "thunar" and other
files of type "shared library'....

/usr/bin/thunar and /usr/bin/Thunar are not executable binaries,
apparently.

How do I handle this?
