Hi! I am a sponsored debian maintainer, and I am very interested in getting involved in the pkg-xfce team.
Taking a look in the BTS, I have seen that there's a bug on the Mousepad package with a patch (#587667 [1]) in the BTS and have prepared a package with it - Also, I have imported a patch from the Ubuntu package (see LP: 392971 [2]) Would you like me to upload it to mentors? I am a bit unsure about to work out packages for the xfce team, since you are using version-controlled packaging. Also, I am pretty unsure about the mousepad package (Is it still developed upstream?) - is it a waste of time fixing the problems in it?
