Sometimes happens that once initiated an XFCE session, the windows become mostly insensitive to the mouse: they cannot be selected by clicking on them, they cannot be moved around, the mouse does not recognise the windows' boundaries, etc. So, essentially, the mouse becomes useless. There's a puzzling exception to this behaviour: the mouse does recognise the "close" buttons on the browser *tabs*, so the tabs can be closed (even though they cannot be selected!). These issues are always accompanied by unoperativity of the window cycling: pressing alt + tab triggers a beep, and nothing more. There are several other issues that I have observed only a couple of times (of a total of four): the xfce4 panel ceases to respond to the mouse, only the workspace selector ceases to respond, and (once) the keyboard was blocked and the whole graphical environment was rendered unusable. Unfortunately, I have not suceeded in identifying the cause for these behaviours. They just seem to happen 'sometimes' (roughly once every four boots in the last two weeks).
