Well, it was even a bit useful as some application I used (and removed) quite some time ago left a custom menu category in /etc/xdg/menus (not any official package) and so I could delete it as it showed on the appfinder ;) But then it seems that the git version has evolved and so maybe I should try it to see if this issue is still present.
