Package: lightdm
Version: 1.0.0-3
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
Steps to reproduce:
* install both QT and GTK greeter
* select QT greeter
* remove QT greeter
Results:
* lightdm is still configured to use QT greeter
Expected results:
* lightdm is reconfigured to use GTK greeter
Moreover, when both greeters are installed, one can use
'dpkg-reconfigure lightdm-gtk-greeter' to select a greeter. But when
only GTK greeter is installed, dpkg-reconfigure does not allow you to
do that and (removed) QT greeter is left configured. So you have to
change the greeter manually in the configuration file.
Also, I am not sure about that, but would not it be more natural if
greeter selection is part of lightdm debconf instead of GTK/QT
greeter?
Regards,
Dmitry
