It would help providing the backtrace.

Might be related to GTK3 which might need some 2D accel.

I don't think it has anything to do with lightdm. My guess is more an
issue in the kernel but without any information about the backtrace it's
just a guess game.

That's completely outside of lightdm scope, there's no way this package
will provide an Xorg configuration, especially disabling accel.
