I confirm that the behaviour is the same as the one describe on those bugs, even if its another bug. I'm on a fresh, updated (as of April 29 2013) install of wheezy
I open a folder in Thunar containing a large image file, and thunar will freeze 100% of the time. This won't happen in pcmanfm, though the behaviour is the same on a squeeze install. dl
