The other bug does mention some kind of shim that implements the dbus service that could be used. Ok, but in that case suspend does not happen if the user switches to a virtual terminal and closes the lid. The org.freedesktop.systemd1 error gets printed to the virtual terminal. Suspend does happen from within XFCE even though the org.freedesktop.systemd1 error is shown.
