I too have xfce4-power-manager version 1.2.0-3 and my suspend has stopped working, and so has my automounting of USB and SD devices.
I get a little 'power manager not authorized' notification from time to time. Googling did not provide me with much in the way of answers and I admit to not understanding how display-manager, session-manager, consolekit and logind and dbus interact these days. It was suggested to me that adding HandlePowerKey=ignore HandleLidSwitch=ignore to /etc/systemd/logind.conf will make things work. I'm not running systemd so I don't quite understand why this might work, but I'll report back after logout/reboot.
