Package: xfce4-session
Version: 4.8.3-3
Severity: critical
Justification: causes serious data loss

Dear Maintainer,

When I run 'xpad &' from my terminal emulator, xfce4-session segfaults and logs
out the entire desktop. This bug is reproducible - it happens every time. My
setup is a little strange, in that I am using gnome-terminal. Regardless,
xfce4-session should never segfault.

dmesg log:

[1900718.125090] xfce4-session[6273]: segfault at ffffffff00000000 ip
00007f0abb276507 sp 00007fff0ee3efe0 error 5 in
libglib-2.0.so.0.3600.4[7f0abb213000+fc000]
[1900904.437287] xfce4-session[12091]: segfault at ffffffff00000000 ip
00007f23edfc5507 sp 00007fff20636160 error 5 in
libglib-2.0.so.0.3600.4[7f23edf62000+fc000]

I've marked this as "causes serious data loss", because when the session program
ends, the X server closes, and all remaining X clients close without saving
data.

I'm open to helping debug this, if anyone knows how to run xfce4-session in
gdb while using a display manager.

program versions:

xpad 4.1-1
gnome-terminal 3.4.1.1-2

I'm marking the bug as fixed in that particular version, thanks for the
