Hi, I'm not completely sure, but the presence of gdk_event_apply_filters function very close to the beginning of the backtrace indicates that it might be a bug in GTK+2 [1].
As the bug reporter mentioned there, > This may result in very obscure bugs and/or crashes. BTW, the bug is still not fixed in GTK+2, they've pushed the fix only to GTK+3.
