I'm not really how “worse” it is actually, this is exactly what happens to everyone else, it seems. The session is basically unusable without D-Bus. I thought the bug was already RC, unfortunately it wasn't and the package migrated today. In the meantime, you can fix/workaround the issue by installing the dbus-user- session package (see Simon Mc Vittie comments in the bug page before doing that though). Regards, -- Yves-Alexis
