Good day and night everyone, Seems that I can't finish some of my showcase ideas in time, so I will do it in post-gsoc period. I'm open for new ideas of how to demonstrate the power of Java on Inferno os! The styx servers would be great, but network stack is not yet finished. Charles also suggested to implement some kind of security manager software using Java and Inferno's namespaces, which also seems to be a good idea! And I need some more thoughts of the apps that are not dependent on the network stack or gui libs.
Anyway, GSoC 2013 seems to be almost over! I've already submitted my final evaluation, and my java code is still executing the basic tests correctly! So, I'm considering my summer project successful! That was really fun to deal with Java internals and low-level classes, with various Inferno's hacks and really old code of the previous implementation! Thanks to my mentor, Charles Forsyth, who was answering my silly questions really fast! And who actually gave me the opportunity to work for this project this summer. And also thanks to the community, that will help (I hope) me to complete this project and use it for the Good!
