There is a lot of precedent. In this behaviour, the insinuate functions auto save the other planner files dont they? If I "add something" to a database through any half decent front end , I dont expect to "commit" manually. I really see no reason not to save. If one has a LONG emacs session (and emacs tends to be open 24/7 I reckon for most users) then its not right to expect the user to remember 8 hours later that they entered a diary entry and therefore should commit the file. Obviously my 2c worth, but IMO its silly not to save. The diary file is easily corrected if there is a task saved. > > ,----[ C-h v planner-tasks-file-behavior RET ] > | planner-tasks-file-behavior is a variable defined in `planner.el'. > | Its value is nil > | > | > | Documentation: > | Controls behavior of task creation and updates. > | If 'close, newly-opened files are saved and closed. > | If 'save, newly-opened files are saved and left open. > | If nil, no actions will be taken. > | > | You can customize this variable. > | > | [back] > `---- > > So maybe we could do something like that if people really want to. -- _______________________________________________ Planner-el-discuss mailing list [email protected] https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/planner-el-discuss
