Hello,

I am interested in having Planner auto-populate the Diary section of my
day pages with a list of daily chores (cleaning the litterbox, washing
dishes, etc.). My initial attempt was to add lines in my .diary file
like "Monday Wash the dishes". This plan worked, but I did not forsee
the problem of having "planner-diary-number-of-days" set greater than
one: every day's plan page is populated with the whole week's worth of
chores (since I have it set to 7 days). While this is exactly correct
behavior, it is very cluttered and not what I want. ;-)

My preference would be for "normal" diary events (appointments,
birthdays, etc.) to get populated into the daily Diary section 7 days
before the event, and also for "chores" diary events to be populated
only for the current day. I don't see a way of getting planner-diary to
make that kind of distinction, so I'm trying to figure out alternatives.
Is there a better way to get a single day's worth of cyclical,
non-recurring events into my daily plan pages? At this point, I'm
thinking of further customizing the "planner-daily-template" function to
go snarf lines out of a separate file based on the day of the week that
"planner-today" is. While doable, this would be a lot of work, and I'm
completely open to doing this a different way.

As an aside, if I do wind up writing a "planner-daily-template" function
to handle this, where would be a good place for me to publish it? Post
it back to the mailing list in its entirely? Post a blog entry with the
code, and mail a link to the list? Add it to a wiki somewhere? I like to
contribute documentation back where I can. :-)

Thanks in advance for the help!
