I would also like such functionality.  Here are my thoughts, just so
that if someone wants to attempt it (or if I eventually do try, so
that I have feedback).

Once a month (when the monthly reports are due), I have to peruse the
daily pages to see what I was up to.

I can do that nicely using the planner-next-day, and
planner-previous-day (I am not sure of the exact function names).  But
if I publish the plan pages (into html say), then I have to open the
next/previous day file.  Ideally, during translation, the previous and
next day links would translate to previous and next day html files.

It would also be necessary to implement a re-parse feature, mainly for
the reason if one manually inserts a day page where none existed
(manual or post-facto correction), one would want to re-link the plan
pages, and also the html files.
