Hello :) I'm planning to make a desktop containment with a feature that I've seen in XFCE (well, I think) : adding a "margin" at the edges of the screen so that windows can't cover this area. I think it's useful because with a big margin at the bottom, I can put a floating macOsX-like dock or some other widgets. Moreover, when someone use a very high resolution for his display, maximizing windows is not very usefull because the maximized window is really too big (and it just looks better with a margin around the window :) ). Finally, I'm a big fan of the "switch desktop with scrollwheel" and with this feature, I can always have some visible area of the desktop.
I'm not very familiar with the internals of Plasma, so before I start digging into the code, can someone tell me if this is feasible with a desktop containment (for example, cloning the default desktop and adding this feature) ?
